And We have enjoined man to deal with his parents in the best manner. His mother carried him with hardship and delivered him with hardship, and his carrying and weaning were in thirty months. Thus, when he attains forty years, he prayed: O my Lord, You brace me to be grateful for the bounties You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do righteous deeds satisfied by You, and You reform my progeny. Indeed, I have repented unto You, and I am among those who have submitted wholly to You.
This is the prayer that the believers who have completed forty years should pray. The prayer of Prophet Sulaiman, who was given great kingship which no one else was ever given, is mentioned in verse 27: 19. The one-in-a-thousand believer who testifies to Adhikr—the Best Interpretation of the Lord’s Book—alone performs such a prayer with the soul. Only such believers will die as Muslims who submitted everything to their Lord, as explained in verses 3: 101–102. Even though the Arabic Qur’an-reading Fujjar claim that they are Muslims, since they hide and reject Adhikr, they are the true disbelievers, as explained in verses 3: 10 and 4: 150–151. As explained in verse 15: 44, every one of them is destined for one of the seven doors of Hell. Through verses 9: 84, 113–114, and 47: 19, the believer is forbidden to seek forgiveness for them even if they are parents, relatives, or anyone else. See explanation 2: 233, 17: 23–24, and 31: 15.
